With the Zünd G3 L-2500 Cutter, Big Colour sets new standards in the efficient cutting of the most varied of materials
The specialist for large formats
Big Colour has been providing promotional print material to its customer for 30 years. The largeformat specialist prints outdoor advertisements, POS
displays, vehicle graphics, or posters on flat-bed and roll printing systems. The range of materials used includes paper, cardboard, vinyl, MDF wood fiber,
plastic plates, and aluminum or acrylic glass. Big Colour always relies on the most modern production means. This strategy is reinforced with the
investment in a Zünd Cutter G3 L-2500.
"The time required has been reduced by 80%"
The demand for posters in small runs has steadily increased in recent years. Until now they were cut manually, which takes a lot of time. Orders often had
to be awarded externally if the production facility was at capacity. The G3 L-2500 has reduced manual labor to a minimum. "Now, we can analyze the cutting
process in detail. That's how we found out that the required time had been reduced by 80%“. This allows Big Colour to produce more orders in the same time.
With the Zünd Cutter, Big Colour is in a position to process a variety of additional materials efficiently and in consistently high quality and to continue
to expand the product range.
New benchmarks set
"The versatility of the G3 L-2500 suits us very well; we mainly produce small orders, which is typical for our business. With the Zünd Cutter, we were able
to set new benchmarks in terms of quality and efficiency," explained Aaron King. The multifunctional tool system from Zünd is configured in just a few
steps and additionally increases the productivity of the digital cutting system. With the RM-A router module, Big Colour processes rigid materials like
acrylic or aluminum up to a thickness of 26 mm. The RM-A mills MDF panels or rigid foam up to a thickness of 50 mm. With its high-frequency spindle, active
air cooling and the efficient suction system, the RM-A is designed for 24/7 use.
