Regional Sales Managers (RSM) help Zund America (ZAM) promote brand awareness, increase profitable sales revenues, and maintain customer relationships within an assigned geographical area and defined market segment(s) focus. The RSM plays a critical role and has the primary responsibility to develop new relationships, cultivate existing customers and create opportunities within their geographic territory and market segment focus.

Essential Functions

  1. Devise effective geographic territory prospecting, sales and marketing strategies for focus segment
  2. Work with Sales Director and Business Segment Manager to analyze customer and prospect data to find the most efficient prospecting and sales methods
  3. Meet with customers to preform discovery (needs assessment) address concerns and present viable solutions
  4. Uncover new sales opportunities through consumer, industry, segment and business research
  5. Effectively present hardware, software, and workflow solutions to existing and prospective customers and strategic business partners both virtually and in person.
  6. Participate in industry or promotional events (e.g. trade shows) to cultivate relationships
  7. Ability to work in and lead a selling team with applications specialists, project specialists, segment manager and product managers when needed
  8. Participate in company sponsored sales training and technical product training events
  9. Assess sales performance according to preset and measured KPIs
  10. Monitor and report on competition within assigned region
  11. Manage salesforce.com and meet all requirements for effective data management
  12. Be proficient in all assigned segments of the Zund business and where gaps exist work on training plans to get competency to a more self-sufficient state
  13. Manage expenses in ways that meet standards and submission time periods as set by ZAM
  14. Present territory review to management as required either yearly or semi-annually
  15. Flexible, coachable, open to new ideas and approaches to help drive profitable business for a given geographic region and segment base
  16. Understand the most important aspects of any sales role is to create opportunity & progress opportunity to a product end for the customer and a profitable end for the business.

  2. Proven track record of increasing awareness, sales and revenue; field sales experience
  3. Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIs
  4. Proficient in MS Office, Salesforce. Familiarity with Concur, ADP, Sharepoint, Teams a plus
  5. Excellent communication skills both virtually and in person
  6. Excellent organizational and team leadership abilities
  7. Problem-solving aptitude and ability to think on your feet a must
  8. Knowledge of factory production and automated workflows a plus

Experience/Education Required

  1. Proven experience in the segment(s). Outside sales experience with strong “hunting” emphasis
  2. BS/BA in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct reports but works with various team members throughout the organization

Work Environment

This job operates in a home office environment and out in the field meeting directly with prospects and customers. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as company provided laptop computers, phones, photocopiers, printers and other technologies

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Early mornings, late nights, weekends, and overnights are required.
