Empack Brussels 2017
Empack & Packaging Innovations: an immersive experience for inspiration and new insights
These days, packaging materials have to cover multiple goals. Not only do they protect products physically, they also play a crucial role when it comes to perishability issues, reducing the ecological footprint, monitoring & tracing, marketing & sales… If you want to be in the know of the newest (r)evolutions, then be sure to block October 11 and 12, 2017 in your diary. Easyfairs organises Empack & Packaging Innovations, the not to miss packaging event for the Belgian professional, in the Nekkerhal - Brussels North Mechelen.
Anyone involved in the packaging sector is more than aware of the evolutions in this industry. New technology, new materials, more insight in the food deterioration process, new modes of transport… all contributors to innovative packaging – lighter, more (cost)efficient, smarter and more ecological. The packaging machine park and peripheral equipment are constantly being optimised also. Lastly, since packaging, more than ever, is being deployed as a marketing and sales tool, a lot is happening on the creative side as well.
“As event organiser we continuously look for ways to guarantee visitors a complete experience”, explains Marketing Event Manager Karen Rammeloo. “At Empack, we book a large array of suppliers; for this coming edition, no less than 140 exhibitors have already signed up. The packaging expert therefor can be sure to meet a fantastic overview of all the movers and shakers in the industry. Not just from a technical or technology point of view, but also with a focus on packaging design and marketing. This year, Empack coincides with Packaging Innovations, showcasing the newest trends in innovative and luxury packaging and materials, POS, displays… We bring together suppliers and marketers, packaging specialists, designers and brand owners on the trade fair floor!”
Then there is the additional programme, again contributing to the immersion Empack & Packaging Innovations wants to offer its visitors. Karen Rammeloo: “Specific trade fair routes guide visitors to discover specific innovations. Three different zones zoom in on a specific theme. The Green Village for instance is themed around sustainable packaging, innovations and materials. Machine Safety Plaza is the place to be for packaging line automation and safety solutions. Or you can head for the Food Pack Terrace to meet companies linking the packaging value chain with the food industry.”
One novelty that will most certainly draw in the crowds is the exhibition of winners of the Pentawards 2017, a worldwide competition, open to anyone active in packaging creation or marketing. Easyfairs, as always, will line up the best speakers during Empack & Packaging Innovations. Karen Rammeloo: “Over both days, each of the two theatres will welcome national and international experts to the stage, to address trends, challenges and opportunities, examples of best practices. Wednesday evolves around Design & Branding and Industry 4.0/Automation, Thursday focuses on Sustainability & Food. Empack & Packaging Innovations will again be an information platform guaranteed to offer packaging professionals plenty of inspiration and insights!”
