Zünd: RM-L Routing System wins EDP Award
Zünd's new routing system RM-L wins an EDP 2017 Award. With up to 3.6kW of power, the router system sets new standards for efficiency even when
processing such hard, thick materials as acrylic and wood. A jury of experts agreed and awarded the RM-L with the coveted prize for "Best digital cutting
system".
The European Digital Press Association EDP, an association of leading European trade publications focused on digital print and production, has honored Zünd
with an award for the new routing system RM‑L. Zünd's latest router module won the coveted award for "Best digital cutting system“. Making use of an
impressive 3.6 kW of power, the RM-L is capable of routing acrylics, polycarbonates, ACM, Forex, and MDF with unprecedented speed and efficiency. The
commanding force of this router, combined with up to 0.7 Nm of torque, opens up new possibilities for processing thick, hard, dense substrates. Made
possible by the RM-L, greater processing speeds and cutting depths reduce the number of passes required to cut these materials. This, in turn, leads to
significantly higher throughput and greater productivity. Another important component of the new system is the automatic tool changer ARC. EDP's expert
jury cited the fact that the RM-L router module allows a Zünd cutting system to be transformed in mere seconds to a high-performance router designed for
heavy-duty routing applications. "The RM-L virtually eliminates the need for a separate router table".
For more than ten years, the EDP and its technical committee, jury, as well as EDP members in a special general assembly, have evaluated developments and
products in the graphics industry and recognized those most worthy of interest and commendation.
