Zünd at FESPA 2026: Reliable. Versatile. Ready for anything.

At FESPA Global Print Expo 2026 in Barcelona, May 19 to 22, Zünd is showcasing digital cutting solutions distinguished by exceptional reliability, flexibility, and versatility across a wide range of applications. Centered around the theme "Reliable All-Rounders", Zünd (booth A129, Hall 3) demonstrates how modular cutting systems can be configured for a wide range of production requirements—from entry-level systems to highly automated industrial solutions. The focus is on the new RollMaster, thread-milling capabilities, and automated material handling.

On a Zünd G3 cutter, Zünd is introducing the newly developed RollMaster, a flexibly configurable roll-off unit for virtually all roll materials, sizes, and weights. The RollMaster can feed textiles and other flexible materials with a core, as well as denser roll materials such as plastic films or paper, all of which can be loaded quickly and easily. Roll changes are quick and require no additional setup. The RollMaster is highly modular in design and can be retrofitted with ease depending on the materials that need to be processed.

With a new thread-milling tool, Zünd is expanding the functionality of its cutters to include an integrated processing step that previously had to be done separately. Threads can now be created directly on the cutter in a variety of rigid materials. For manufacturers of signage, architectural lettering, or display graphics, this significantly simplifies installation as mounting points can now be precisely prepared as part of the cutting workflow. Zünd will be demonstrating this application live at FESPA, providing a tangible example of the expanded functionality this feature offers.

Zünd is also introducing a new blade holder that enables precise V-cutting of tight contours in applications such as acoustic panels.

Automated material handling with the Robot PortaBase

A compact S3 cutter will be shown in combination with a Robot PortaBase 175 from robotics partner Robotfactory. The unit automates material handling. It demonstrates how digital cutting processes can be combined with robot-assisted workflows to increase throughput, improve process stability, and reduce operator workload. A new feature in this context is Zünd’s open Loading & Unloading interface, which is now available as an option in ZCC Zünd Cut Center.

Modularity as a core principle

All featured cutting solutions adhere to Zünd’s modular system approach. Machine configurations can be flexibly adapted and expanded as needed—from new tools and software options to automated material-handling and part-removal solutions. This approach supports companies in changing market environments and ensures long-term investment security over the system's entire service life.

At the booth in Hall 3, Zünd is providing hands-on demonstrations of how digital cutting systems deliver both efficiency and high precision. Presentations focus on real-world applications from the graphics, exhibit, and packaging industries and related sectors. The goal is to show industry professionals how modular systems can make production processes more cost-effective and ready for the future.
