Our Story

Our Story

Joop Jacobs founded Beta Services BV in 1991. In its early years, the company focused on maintaining a wide range of cutting machines from various manufacturers. From the very beginning, the emphasis was on providing customized solutions tailored to the specific needs of each customer.
Since 1995, Zünd Benelux has been the official distributor and service partner of cutting and routing table manufacturer Zünd Systemtechnik AG for the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Operating from Beta Services BV, Zünd Benelux developed into the specialized service and distribution partner for Zünd machines that it is today.
In 2003, the company moved into its current newly built premises in Eersel, where it remains based. After Zünd Benelux became part of the Zünd Holding in 2013, Stephan Jacobs was appointed Managing Director. As of January 2026, day-to-day management has been handed over to Arthur van Alphen. Today, the company has grown into an organization of approximately 45 employees.

Our Team

The Zünd Benelux team consists of approximately 45 employees. The majority of them are actively involved on a daily basis in providing customer service, including a specialized team of software, hardware, and application specialists. In addition, 15 service engineers are on standby every day to support and service more than 1,000 Zünd systems across the Benelux region. These engineers are strategically based throughout the Benelux, enabling fast and efficient on-site support for customers.
The team is characterized by a strong mix of young and experienced professionals, where creativity and fresh ideas go hand in hand with years of experience and in-depth expertise across a wide range of disciplines. The team’s clear focus is on building long-term customer relationships, with quality and service always at the core.

The Building

From its service and experience office in Eersel, Zünd Benelux provides fast and highly specialized service and demonstrations throughout the entire Benelux region. The building was constructed in 2003 and is designed in the same architectural style as the company’s headquarters in Switzerland.
The heart of the building is the showroom, also referred to as the Experience & Training Center. It features a variety of machine configurations that demonstrate the wide range of possibilities and options in digital finishing. The applied finishing techniques range from traditional cutting to oscillating, ultrasonic, and laser cutting, as well as routing. In addition, the Experience Center offers abundant inspiration in the field of automation and robotics, showcasing various innovative applications in real-world settings.

The experience center

At the Zünd Experience & Training Center, we work together with you to determine which solutions are the most suitable and efficient for your production process and materials. This space is used for demonstrations, training sessions, and material testing, during which a wide variety of materials are tested for both existing customers and prospective companies.
The Experience & Training Center enables us to provide customers with exactly what they need at any time. It features high-quality meeting and training facilities, combined with an extensive showroom where a wide range of configurations—including robotic automation—can be demonstrated. A key focus is on clearly showcasing the modularity of Zünd systems and the associated digital finishing solutions. Customers are given ample opportunity to experience and test firsthand what is possible with their specific materials.

Our Service

Our mission is to deliver the best possible service, built on strong, long-term relationships with our customers. The service support team is available every day from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to assist you with all your questions and challenges.

Thanks to our flexible organizational structure, we are able to provide customized solutions in the form of collaboration models and service contracts tailored to the specific needs of our customers. This may include availability outside regular office hours and tailor-made training programs.

Service engineers

The team of service engineers now consists of 15 passionate engineers and is strategically based throughout the Benelux to ensure the fastest possible on-site support. We are pleased to introduce Marcel Veerhuis. Marcel is a well-known name in the sign industry—a flexible senior service engineer with extensive knowledge of the environments in which Zünd cutting tables operate.

All service engineers have completed intensive training programs at the headquarters of Zünd Systemtechnik AG in Switzerland and were required to pass certification exams before becoming active in the field. In addition, they are kept fully up to date on all technical developments through monthly internal training programs.

Sustainable solutions

Sustainable and responsible business practices at Zünd Benelux are closely linked to maximizing the service life of machines. Thanks to the modular design of Zünd systems, machines can be easily adapted, expanded, or upgraded, often eliminating the need for replacement and allowing existing installations to grow with the customer’s needs for many years.

Through targeted service programs, preventive maintenance, and technical upgrades, we ensure that machines continue to perform optimally throughout their entire life cycle. In addition, we carefully support customers in the relocation or resale of used machines, ensuring that these systems remain sustainably and efficiently deployable. In this way, Zünd Benelux actively contributes to reducing waste and promoting the responsible use of materials and resources.
