Software Maintenance

What is maintenance?

ZCC and Mind software are perpetual SW licenses, delivered including one-year SW maintenance. The SW is continuously improved and compatibility with future SW extensions and new cutter options and features is guaranteed. The maintenance entitles customers to all sw updates, released within the maintenance period, free of charge.

Can I buy the software without maintenance?

No, ZCC and Mind software is only available including maintenance for the first year. You are thereby entitled to any new version of the software which is released within that first year of usage. When within maintenance you can anytime add options to the purchased software package.

Can I buy multiple years up front?

No. Maintenance is only available for one-year periods.

When does the maintenance period start?

The maintenance period for ZCC software starts when the software is activated through MyZund. For Mind software, it starts at the time of installation (when duly reported).

What happens at the end of the maintenance period?

Unless canceled, maintenance is automatically extended for another year. You will be either invoiced or requested to make a payment at MyZund.

How much will I be charged for the subsequent years?

The annual maintenance fee is calculated as a percentage of the list price of the software package you purchased. Please contact your supplier for exact figures.

How are new software versions delivered and installed?

Since new software versions may also require the cutters firmware to be updated, it is not advisable that customers install new software versions on their own. The local Zünd service provider is happy to advise and assist as necessary. Note that such assistance is not included in the annual maintenance fee.

What happens when I cancel maintenance?

You continue using the last software version that was released prior to your cancellation. Note that without maintenance, any new or additional hardware and software options may not be compatible with your software version. You will therefore not be able to expand your software capabilities without first reentering the maintenance.

How can software maintenance be canceled?

Maintenance can be canceled at any time, latest 60 days prior to the end of the current period. Notice of cancellation should be sent to contract@zund.com

Can I get software updates after I canceled maintenance?

Yes, you can reenter a canceled maintenance by paying a premium for the skipped years.

Can I buy additional options to my software after I canceled maintenance?

Yes, by reentering maintenance and paying a premium for the skipped years.

What if I need to upgrade my Cutter hardware, or for example buy a new tool after I canceled maintenance?

You need to reenter maintenance and pay a premium for the skipped years.

I purchased different software packages at different points in time. Can I syncronize all maintenance/subscription licenses, so they are payable on the same date?

Yes, just contact your local Zünd distributor.

I am not able to make payments via my.zund. Are there any alternatives?

Please contact your local Zünd distributor for the best option.

Can I cancel software maintenance only for some of my licences?

Yes, but remember that data exchange cannot be guaranteed between different software versions. It is therefore strongly recommended not to do so.

What is software subscription?

Subscription is a time-limited license to use a certain software product. The customer thereby only buys the right to use the software for as long as he desires. The software is continuously improved and compatibility with future software extensions is guaranteed. The subscription entitles customers to all software updates, released within the subscription period, free of charge.

Can I buy the software without subscription?

No, these software packages are only available as a yearly subscription. The software will only function with a valid subscription.
